Took my 1yo to see Dr. James Nigro for itching and hives... the appointment was short, he looked at my kid for maybe 30 seconds. The information he offered was literally.... no new information at all. I did my research and offered could it be there, that, or the other, and his general response was "yeah could be, hard to say...". He was dismissive and showed no empathy, just felt like a billing box he ticked. Worst waste of money I've ever spent on a copay.

I was in and out of the office fairly quick. Dr. Nigro saw my 4½ month old baby boy knew what would help his eczema right away. It's only been 3 days since the visit and my son already has clearer and softer skin!

Had an appointment for our son a few weeks ago for what appeared to be eczema. We received a prescription for some cream and everything cleared up nicely.

Twelve days later we received a call saying he tested positive for staph and needed a 10 day course of antibiotics. This is the start of my negative review. If there were a serious infection why were we only contacted nearly 2 weeks later. As his skin cleared up and he was showing no signs if illness I called back the next day asking if he actually needed antibiotics as they wreak havoc on a toddler. I was told we could come back in for a follow up appointment which was scheduled for yet another week later.

At the follow up appointment we were told only to keep using moisturizer, put steroid cream on if he has another breakout, and call them if he has an open wound so they could test for staph again since "half of us have staph on our skin all the time". WHY did I just spend my afternoon and a co-pay for something that should have been advised over the phone weeks ago? I feel like I have had money stolen from my pocket and time from my life. They took advantage of me as a parent scared for our child and I recommend everyone look elsewhere for ethical medical care. This is not a practice abiding by their oaths as medical practitioners.

Dr. Nigro was gentle with my five year old and took his time during our appointment. I was pleasantly surprised to see we went straight back upon arrival and waited no longer than 5 minutes before Dr. Nigro joined us. It was a fast, efficient appointment and I highly recommend Nigro Dermatology! We have always had a good experience here with the doctors and staff and look forward to future visits like our recent one.

This practice obviously does multiple bookings for the same time slot. I had an appointment on January 24, 2018 at 4:00 PM. After 35 minutes of wait, I asked and was told that two patients ahead of me and will be at least another 20 minutes. So possible one hour wait before I can even enter and talk with the nurse. I asked them my choices, basically it was come after 10 days or come the next day at 1:00 PM. When I asked should I come at 1:00 or later? I was told come at 1:30 so you can be seen right away.
So today (January 25, 2018), I reached at 1:30 PM and by the time the doctor even came in, it was 2:15 PM.
I just walked out of this practice. And what is odd is that when I was telling Dr Nigro about my experience of the two days, she was not concerned about it at all and ignored me and just wanted to get to check me up and make money quickly.
Unfortunately there are no "negative stars" for rating, otherwise this practice would get the lowest of the lowest rating from me.
