Why have a drive through at all? I’ve been sitting behind the same one car for over 15 minutes and nobody has even been to the window yet to address her. Silly me, I thought that an hour would be plenty of time to swing by Walgreens and make it to my dentist appointment but now I will have to come back later because this is the slowest pharmacy in the entire world. … zero stars

Update- came back today and only waited 15 mins. Was the only car. I saw one poor woman in there running around trying to take care of all the customers. Corporate- shame on you! Look at all these 1-star reviews! This location is terribly understaffed, run down, and I ALWAYS have to wait over a half hour (or way longer) to simply pick my FILLED prescriptions. That is, of course, if they don’t wait til I get to the counter to tell me that they don’t have my medication in stock. That has happened at LEAST 5 times.

The only reason I still go is because it’s close to home and CVS won’t take my health insurance. But I will probably end up just getting everything sent to the CVS near me. I have to pay out of pocket, but it’s worth the price to save hours of my life.

On the plus side, this location has excellent parking. And the few employees behind the counter are pleasant.
But none of that matters if you have to wait up to an hour or more for your prescription drugs. Walgreens would be doing the community a great service by closing this pharmacy. Most of my friends with whom I’ve shared my dissatisfaction with Walgreens. tell me me they are very pleased with Publix pharmacies and CVS. So that’s where I’ll be going from now on.

If you enjoy standing in line for a long time while looking at the backs of employees who could be helping you, but seem eternally busy doing other things other than filling prescriptions, you will love this pharmacy!

Today, as normal, I visited this Walgreens pharmacy on Platt St in Tampa and accomplished nothing. "It's not ready...could you please come back after five?"

Most of the time spent there was waiting in line (37 minutes total today). There is always an issue.

This entire store always seems heavy on process, low on staffing, and suffering from poor automation that routinely baffles the few employees there. The result is long waits and frustrated customers. Bring something to do when you come here.

Better yet, avoid it whenever possible. You will leave grumpy.

I don’t usually take the time to write a review, but this felt necessary for me to do. This pharmacy is the absolute worst one I have ever used. Any time I need a prescription it’s a huge ordeal and takes so much effort to get. Two times they had my address and DOB mixed up in the portal. Additionally, they always try to charge me even though they have my insurance in my portal. When I call to check a prescription status, I am hung up on, or on hold for a very long time. If you want an efficient pharmacy, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ONE!!

I want to share my recent experience with Walgreens at Platt location in 33602. My mother, an elderly woman with chronic health issues, was in a very unstable condition during the recent hurricane. I called the store, hoping for some assistance and explanation, but the manager was incredibly rude and unsympathetic. She refused to speak with me directly and instead passed me off to customer service, offering no help or concern for our situation.
I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion and professionalism shown, especially considering how much we rely on this service for my mother’s health needs. This was the worst service I’ve ever received, and I hope that Walgreens takes this seriously and makes improvements to ensure this doesn’t happen to others, especially those in vulnerable situations.
